NBC Universal Open
NBC Sports recently partnered with FACEIT and Rocket League to present the Universal Open Rocket League 2v2 tournament. HYPE's Bork and SavvySeal participated in the July 26th Midwest online open qualifier, finishing in 2nd place among 650 teams. HYPE now moves on to the Chicago regional finals, taking place live in a LAN setting at NBC/CSN Studios in Chicago, IL. If Bork and Seal finish in the top 2 in Chicago, they will advance to the top-16 Grand Finals at the Esports Arena in Santa Ana, CA.
The regional finals will be broadcast online and regionally on CSN Chicago, on Saturday, August 12.
8/12 update
Bork and Seal fell in the first round to "Runaway" in a close 2-1 series and are eliminated from the single-elimination tournament. Congratulations to the Bork and Seal for making it to the LAN as the #2 seed and representing HYPE well at NBC Studios in Chicago!
